Mr. Robert J. Day

Robert J. Day, 36 of North Vernon passed away at 6:10 pm on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Born on September 12, 1973 in Jackson County, Robert was the son of Johnny Day and Debbie (McNeese) Cornette.

He enjoyed outdoor activites, football, baseball, wrestling, hunting, and fishing.

Robert is survived by his father, Johnny (Linda) Day of North Vernon; his mother, Debbie Cornette of North Vernon; a daughter, Virginia Day of Brownstown; a sister, Sandra (Jim) Baker of Hazard, KY; four brothers, Kenny Hannum of Lima, OH, Nathaniel (Cyndi) Day of North Vernon, Frank (Kim) Day of Butlerville, and Daniel Day of Spraytown; eight nieces; and four nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Virginia Day, Irene Adler, Clarence Hill, and Charles R. McNeece, and a niece Kayley Day.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, January 29th at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11 am until the time of the service. Burial will be at Otter Creek Cemetery in Nebraska.
