Robert Lee Brooks, 59, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at his residence.

A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Dupont Cemetery.

Born October 15, 1957, Robert was the son of Raymond and Marjorie (Heaton) Brooks.

A 1977 graduate of Southport High School, Robert had been employed at Fairbanks Rehabilitation Hospital for 20 years, and had also worked as a mechanic at Perry Township Fire Department. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles and playing guitar.

Survivors include a brother, Daniel Brooks of Rineyville, KY, and a nephew, Daniel Brooks, also of Rineyville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Marjorie Brooks.
