Robert "Bob" A. Dorsett III, of North Vernon, passed away on January 11, 2025. Bob was born to Robert Dorsett II and Eleanor Dorsett on August 2, 1950, who both predeceased him.

Bob leaves behind a large and loving family. He is survived by his children Robert Dorsett, Richard Dorsett, Marc (Misti) Dorsett, Boone (Kara) Dorsett, Hannah (Graham) Skinnari, and Aaron (Bobbi) Groot. He was a proud grandfather to Andrew Earl, Urijah Skinnari, Genevieve Dorsett, Sophia Dorsett, Alex Dorsett, Raelynn Dorsett, Ophelia Skinnari, Boone Dorsett Jr., Robert Groot, Jackie Groot, Gracie Groot, Brittany Ross, Kaitlin Resor and Jenn Montoney. His surviving siblings include Nora (Clyde) Campbell, William (Andrea) Dorsett, Mary (Darren) Heavern, and Joanna (John) Parks.

Bob's hobbies were diverse, ranging from shooting guns and beekeeping to gardening and making wine. His talent for leather work and macrame were well-known and his vast collection of records was a testament to his love for music. Colorado was a favored vacation spot, but the farm was his favorite place to spend time. You would often find him there watching Western movies.

Bob's most profound legacy rests in his love for his family. This love was not limited to humans only, as he had a special relationship with his dog, Harley. He enjoyed telling stories and spending quality time with his family, and he loved teaching his grandchildren about their heritage. Every interaction with Bob was a reminder of what mattered most to him: Love of family.

A service to celebrate Bob's life will be held at the Rolling Hills Shrine Club on January 25, 2025. There will be a Masonic Service at 12:00 PM, followed by a celebration at 1:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to attend.
