Ricky L. Reed, 54, of North Vernon, passed away at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2019, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2019, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Services. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at the funeral home.

Born January 3, 1965, in Seymour, Ricky was the son of J.B. and Teresa Whicker Reed. Both of whom preceded him in death.

Ricky graduated from Jennings County High School and later he graduated with a degree in general electrical from Ivy Tech. He worked for 20 years at Majestic Electric and was currently working at Tool Dynamics in Columbus. Ricky was outgoing and enjoyed racing. He owned his own car and raced for several years at Twin Cities.

Ricky will be greatly missed by his loving Fiancé, Dianne Eggers of North Vernon; daughters, Shelby Reed of Columbus, Krystel Neal and Angel Hamilton of Indianapolis, Sara Bott of North Vernon; brothers, Leslie (Robin) Reed of Columbus, Jim (Kathy) Reed of Greenwood, Harold Reed of North Vernon; grandchildren, Addison, Matilee, Presley, Brigan, Felix.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Teresa Reed.
