Mr. Richard D Jackson

Richard D. Jackson, 53, of St. Cloud, FL, formerly of North Vernon passed away Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Osceola Medical Center in Kissimmee, FL.

Born October 1, 1956 in Jackson County, Richard was the son of Harry B. and Frances Lee Jackson.

Mr. Jackson had worked for the Jay C Food Store in North Vernon and Panning Lumber Co. in Florida where he built trusses. He enjoyed fishing, sports and playing chess.

Richard is survived by his mother, Frances Jackson of North Vernon; two sisters, Marianna Baird and Wanda Jackson of North Vernon; a brother, Lee Jackson of Madison, and several nieces & Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, and grandparents, Mary & Harley Lee, and Harry & Ruth Jackson.

Funeral Information

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral Home with the Rev's. Joe Mays, and Mike Yates officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Cannan.
