Richard A. "Bo" Bohannan, 60, of North Vernon, passed away at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Services.  Rev. Dale Boyd will officiate.  Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 10, 2017 at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery.

Born September 10, 1956, in Kewanee, IL, Richard was the son of the late Harold and Mary Jane Palmer Bohannan.  He married Tamara (Speer) Bohannan on October 16, 2004.

Richard worked at Lowe's Distribution Center the past 19 years.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  Richard enjoyed gardening and canning.

In addition to his wife, Tamara, Richard is survived by one daughter, Angela (Mark) Bozikis of Princeton, IN; one son, David Bohannan of Princeton; five sisters, Sheila M. Shafstall of North Vernon, Gayle Garrett of Greeneville, TN, Brenda Kay Baird of Columbus, Karen Campbell of Pekin and Theresa Bohannan of Pekin; two brothers, Robert Bohannan of Pekin and Phillip Bohannan of North Vernon; one granddaughter, Addie Bozikis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mary Jane Bohannan; one brother, Gary Bohannan; and one sister, Carol Sue Bohannan.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
