Mr. Richard Sebastian Beckman

Richard S. Beckman, 73, of North Vernon, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2015, at St. Vincent-Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.

Born November 9, 1941, in Springfield, Illinois, Richard was the son of Clement and Lena (Blua) Beckman. On November 26, 1982, he married Elizabeth (Gray) Beckman who preceded him in death on February 28, 2015.

Mr. Beckman was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Springfield, IL in 1959. Mr. Beckman was an iron worker with Local 22. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting and working on cars.

Survivors include four daughters, Teressa McCane of North Vernon, Dora (Rick) Robinson and Karen Riney, both of Columbus, and Holly (Jerry) Brewer of Fennville, MI; two sons, Daniel McCane of North Vernon and Richard Beckman, Jr. of Zeeland, MI; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth; his parents; and two grandchildren.
