Regina E. McQueen, 68, of North Vernon, passed away at 5:41 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at her residence.

A funeral service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service.  Rev. Marcus Speer will officiate.  Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 14, 2018 at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Dupont Cemetery.

Born June 10, 1950, in Scottsburg, Regina was the daughter of Roger and Evelyn Young Lowry.  She married John A. McQueen on June 10, 1980.  He preceded her in death on June 4, 2004.

She graduated from Hauser High School.  Regina had owned McQueen's Grocery in Elizabethtown since 1988.  She attended New Bethel United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening, cooking and her grandchildren.

Regina is survived by her son, Chris (Julie) Klosterman; two sisters, Fairy Rose (Jim) McGuire and Cindy (Doug) Scheuer all of North Vernon; and five grandchildren, Morgan Leahigh, Lauren Coward, Kaylin, Jonathan and Kristen Klosterman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger Lowry and Evelyn Lowry Johnson; and two brothers, Steve and Tim Lowry.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Elizabethtown Volunteer Fire Department.
