Mr. Randy Scott Gross

May 17, 1966 - April 28, 2015

Randy Scott Gross, 48, of North Vernon, passed away at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at his residence.

Born May 17, 1966, in Cincinnati, Randy was the son of Floyd and Sylvia (Jones) Gross. On May 12, 1987, he married Melissa Vance. She survives.

Randy had been employed as a machine operator at Hilex Poly. He enjoyed yardwork, cookouts, spending time with family and car shows. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan.

In addition to his wife, Melissa, he is survived by two sons, Randy (Rene) Gross, Jr. and Kevin Gross, both of North Vernon; two daughters, Kayla and Laura Gross, both of North Vernon; two brothers, Greg and Ronnie Gross, both of Cincinnati; and four grandchildren, Randy Gross, III, Leroy, Nicole and Lillian Beavers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Holly Harris.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. The Rev. Anthony Sweeney will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery.
