Ramona Moore Curran, 73, of North Vernon passed away at 12:15 AM Wednesday, May 07, 2014, at Jennings Health Care Center.

Born May 16, 1941 in Somerset, KY, Ramona was the daughter of Lawrence and Sylvia M. Wilson Walters. She married James Moore, and he preceded her in death.

She had owned the Scenic View Restaurant in North Vernon, and also worked as a cook at the Tunnel Inn Restaurant in Vernon. She loved cooking, fishing, camping, crocheting, and embroidery.

She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia M. Smith of North Vernon, and Coral L. Moir of TN; one son, Marvin W. Cumberworth of North Vernon; brothers, James, John, Bobby, and Michael "Pickles" Walters; sisters, Shirley Billman, Janice Braun, Patsy Calvert, Brenda Arbuckle, and Vickie Mendez; grandchildren, Brooks P. Smith, Leah M. Russelburg, James L. Earl, Fonda Marr, Danielle D. Williams, Nicholas A. Earl, Anthony J. Moir, and Nicole Cumberworth; ten great - grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, James Moore.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Rev. Edward Wooddell will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday.
