Mrs. Phyllis J. Funkhouser

March 27, 1933 - August 29, 2014

Phyllis J. Funkhouser, 81, of North Vernon passed away at 9:40 PM Friday, August 29, 2014 at Jennings Healthcare Center.

Born March 27, 1933 in Indianapolis, Phyllis was the daughter of Charles and Vixie Mayo Willingham. She married Vance Funkhouser July 26, 1975. He survives.

She graduated high school form St. John's Academy in Indianapolis. She retired after thirty eight years from Ashland Chemical Company. She enjoyed doing ceramics.

She is survived by her husband, Vance Funkhouser of North Vernon; son, Charlie Sweeney of Erin, TN; granddaughter, Angela Sweeney of Cleveland, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Billy Sweeney; brother, John Willingham; sister, Patricia Hardin.
