Mr. Paul J.R. Moore

January 11, 1945 - November 11, 2008

Paul J.R. Moore, 63 of North Vernon, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2008.

Born January 11, 1945 in Edmundson, KY, he was the son of Elvie Paul and Lucille Dial Moore, they preceded him in death. He married Jewell Cassetty on July 20, 1963, she survives.

Mr. Moore attended Dupont High School. He had worked at Bob and Joe's Body Shop for thirty-three years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.

Paul is survived by his wife, two sons, Ricky Lee Moore of Brownstown and Paul David Moore of Hayden, a daughter, Amanda Corine Moore of North Vernon, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, four brothers, Randy Moore of Scipio, Jerry Lee Moore of Morocco, IN, Lewis Edward Moore of North Vernon, and Joseph Andrew Moore of Seymour, seven sisters, Elvie Griffin, Susan Everroad, and Theresa Sharp of North Vernon, Shirley Burton of Scipio, Rotha Stout of Hayden, Debbie Holt of Butlerville, and Joyce Hudson of Seymour.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Justin Moore, and four sisters, Ruth Roe, Shelia Luedeman, Betty Robbins, and Sally Nell.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be held at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral Home at 2 PM, Saturday, November 15, 2008 with the Rev. Doug Sharp officiating. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of the service on Saturday. Burial will be at the Hayden Cemetery.
