Patsy Calvert, 69, of North Vernon, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019, at St. Francis Hospital in Greenwood.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 14, 2019, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Services, Friends and family may visit from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Rev. Jack Carroll will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2019, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral Home.

Born May 12, 1950, in Shirley, IN, Patsy was the daughter of Lawrence and Sylvia Walters. Both of whom preceded her in death. She was untied in marriage to Benjamin Calvert on September 27, 1975 and he preceded her in death on November 3, 2002.

Patsy worked for the Jennings Co. Schools as a Custodian and was a member of the Grace Missionary Baptist Church. She loved to sing gospel music and use to travel around to different churches to sing. One of her favorite gospel songs was "You Raise Me Up by Josh Groban." She enjoyed reading and collect Angel figurines. Patsy took great pride and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Patsy will be missed by sons, Phillip White of Kokomo and Paul White of North Vernon; sisters, Shirley Billman of Greenwood, Janice Braun of Bethpage, TN, Brenda Carter of North Vernon, and Vickie Tribby of Greenwood; brothers, Jimmy Walters of Bicknell, Bobby Walters of Versailles, and Michael Walters of Butlerville; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Sylvia Walters; husband, Benjamin Calvert; sister, Ramona Moore; and brother, Johnny Walters.
