Patricia Diane "Trish" Starks Howell Colwell, 47, of North Vernon, passed away at 12:50 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Carmel, Indiana.

There will be a celebration of life held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Cremation was chosen.

Born on November 6, 1974, in Columbus, Trish was the loving daughter of Don Starks Jr. and Debra (Losey) Wehling. She was united in marriage to Nathan Colwell on August 18, 2017.

Trish graduated from Columbus North High School and the Indiana University. She worked with the Bartholomew County Juvenile Probation Dept., Youth Hope, Indiana Department of Child Services, and National Youth Advocate Program. Trish loved and cherished her family the most. She enjoyed spending time making memories with them over the years.

In addition to her husband, Nathan Colwell, survivors include son, Carter James Howell; father, Don (Betsy) Starks Jr.; mother, Diane "Annie" (Benjamin "Chip") Wehling; sister, Britt Starks Moss; in laws, Denny and Rhonda Colwell; brother in laws, Travis Colwell, and Darin (Jessica) Colwell; nephews, Cy and Amberly Moss (Hunter, Rali, Sayla), Parker Moss (Ella Blankenhorn), Trevor and Caden Colwell; nieces, Karla (Jacob) Bower, Katelyn Colwell, and Josie Colwell.

Trish was preceded in death by grandparents, Dale and Barbara Losey,and Don and Pauline Starks Sr.; niece, Kali Moss; aunts, Karen Shaw, Rita Mills, and Jill Debruhl; in law grandparents, Lou and Earl Vincent, and Denver and Martha Colwell; uncles, Rick Colwell, and Roger Campbell.

Memorials can be made through the funeral home to the Jennings County Youth Foundation.
