Mr. Oliver G Heitkamper Jr.

February 13, 1948 - September 23, 2012

Oliver G. Heitkamper, Jr., 64, of North Vernon, passed away at 12:10 am on September 23, 2012, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus.

Born February 13, 1948, Oliver was the son of the late Oliver and Rosemae Donnell Heitkamper, Sr. He married Deborah Kleitz on July 26, 1975. She survives.

Oliver had served in the United States Army. He had been employed at Lowes Distribution. In the past, he collected cars, trucks and trains, and in more recent years he enjoyed collecting dragons. He also enjoyed painting and seek and find puzzles.

In addition to his wife, Oliver is survived by three sisters, Sharon Powers of North Vernon, Margaret (William) Pope of Russellville, IN, and Rebecca Halling of Oliver Branch, MS, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Mary Chadburns, Donna Rice and Olivia Heitkamper; brother, Ronnie Earl; and brothers-in-law, Johnny Chadburns and Charles Bryce.

Funeral Information

A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the First Baptist Church at Noon.
