Mrs. Norma J. Belding

Norma J. Belding, 77, of Butlerville passed away Friday, July 1, 2011 at 10:12 PM at Silver Oaks Health Campus in Columbus.

Born July 9, 1933 in Seymour, Norma was the daughter of Earl and Lois Hildreth Bridges. She married James M. Belding on December 18, 1962. He Survives.

She graduated from Paris Crossing High School in 1953, where she participated in cheerleading. She worked for the U.S. Department of Army at Jefferson Proving Ground from November 1965 until she retired in November 1993. She also held an Indiana real estate broker license since 1975. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and Republican Women of Jennings County. Among her favorite things to do were gardening, cooking, spending time with her family, and enjoying the outdoors.

Mrs. Belding is survived by her husband, James M. Belding of Butlerville; one son, Brian Belding of North Vernon, one daughter, Tina Richardson of Butlerville; one step-daughter, Carla Belding of Seymour; five grandchildren, Shelby Richardson, Avynn, Abrey, Aylah, and Addex Belding, and two step-grandchildren, Lyndsay Kelley, and Jacob Patterson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ronald Bridges.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be conducted Friday, July 8 2011 at 11:00 AM at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Rev. Jonathan Meyer will officiate.

Visitation will be from 4 - 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Shriners Hospital for Children.
