Mrs. Nola Ann Funke

March 12, 1920 - November 24, 2011

Nola Ann Funke, 91, of Seymour, formerly of North Vernon, passed away at 9:16 A.M. Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Born March 12, 1920 in Dillsboro, Nola was the daughter of Lute and Amanda Berkmeier Fischvogt. She married Walter Funke June 28, 1942. He survives.

Mrs. Funke was a homemaker and a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church where she volunteered for many activities over the years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, playing cards, spending time with her family, watching Indiana University Basketball.

She is survived by her husband Walter of Seymour; one son, Dale Funke of Indianapolis, one daughter, Linda Flinn of Seymour; a sister, Pearl Rediker of Elizabethtown; five grandchildren, Michele Mennen, Ryan Funke, Gretchen Blazek, Craig Flinn, and Meredith Henry; fourteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Larry Dale Funke; brothers, Robert, Louis, and James Fischvogt; sisters, Ruth Hill, and Verna Steigerwald.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 28, 2011 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Sunday at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service, and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service Monday at the church.
