Nellie F. Covington

December 28, 1940 - August 31, 2009

Nellie F. Covington, 68 of Deputy passed away on Monday, August 31, 2009 at 2:53 pm at King's Daughter's Hospital of Madison.

Born on December 28, 1940 in Madison, Nellie was the daughter of the late William Pierre and Iva Mae Richards LaPine. She later married Roy Vincent Covington on April 17, 1982.

Mrs. Covington enjoyed painting, sewing, crocheting, and cooking.

She is survived by her husband of Deputy, a daughter, Connie Bladen of Madison, three sons, Rusty (Andra) Bladen and Tony (Patty) Bladen both of Madison and Rick (Pam) Bladen of Hanover, two brothers, Robert LaPine of Ohio and Charles LaPine of Madison, a sister, Ruth Ann Stuart of Madison, eleven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, six sisters, Mary Jones, Norma Morris, Jo Robertson, Dorothy Geisler, Bessie Sevier, and Margie LaPine, four brothers, William, John, George, and Jim LaPine.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Friday September 4, 2009 at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral Home in North Vernon. Visitation will be from 11 am until the time of the service on Friday. Burial will be at the Dupont Cemetery.
