Nancy Anderson, 88, of Indianapolis, formerly of North Vernon, passed away at 12:54 p.m. on Friday, January 22, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital 86th street in Indianapolis.

A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Rev. Ron Norris will officiate. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. till the start of the service on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at the funeral home. Born on October 20, 1932, in North Vernon, Nancy was the loving daughter of Frank and Mary (Peck) Lyle. She was united in marriage to Robert Allen Anderson in 1953. He preceded her in death on November 12, 2019.

Nancy was retired from the Jennings Community Hospital where she had worked in housekeeping. She was a member of the 2nd United Methodist Church. Nancy enjoyed sewing, doing crafts, and collecting Angels. Her favorite tv show to watch was wrestling.

Nancy is survived by daughter, Vicki (Ted) Cooper of Wichita, KS; son, Robert (Angela) Anderson of Wichita, KS; sister, Mary Beatty of Hanover; grandchildren, Thaddius and Monica Cooper, Tamaris, Kaseem, Amir, Matteen, and Khyber Anderson, Kathlynne King, Amber Neville, and Aaliyah Martin; seven great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Lyle; husband, Robert Anderson; sisters, Rita Cook, and Cosseta Cook; brother, Frank Lyle Jr.
