Mrs. Nadine Litzy

March 11, 1926 - August 20, 2009

Nadine Litzy, 83, of North Vernon, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2009 at 3:20 p.m. at Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus.

Born March 11, 1926 in Columbus, IN., she was daughter of the late William Harrison and Clarice Lilly Pettiford Brewer. She married Roy Litzy in 1944. He preceded her in death on December 14,1988.

Mrs. Litzy had retired from Cummins Engine Company where she had been an executive secretary.

She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness. She enjoyed traveling, sewing and gardening.

She is survived by her daughters, Elaine Litzy of North Vernon and Cheryl Cruz of Miami, Florida, a son, Stewart Litzy of North Vernon, three sisters, Oneita Smith and Theola Hunter both of Columbus, Olga Bush of Phoenix, Arizona and a brother, Ralph Brewer of Shelbyville and 3 grandchildren, Raphael Jovanne Solomon, Jason and Ciara Litzy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a granddaughter, Mia Cruz.

Funeral Information

A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 5:00p.m. at Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at 1:00-5:00 p.m. on Saturday before the service. Arrangements are in care of Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home.
