Obituary

Mildred Elisabeth Pohle, 94, of North Vernon, passed away at 3:00 p.m., on Monday July 24, 2023, at the Majestic Care of North Vernon.

There will be a funeral service conducted at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Rev. William P. Means will officiate. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the service.

Born on August 30, 1928, in Erlanger, Kentucky, Mildred was the loving daughter of John and Ollie E. (Pulley) Bailey.

Mildred worked as a supervisor and QMA at the Muscatatuck State School for 29 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of the Nebraska Church of God since the early 1960's. She enjoyed country music, jigsaw puzzles, auctions, and garage sales.

Survivors include daughters, Bonnie Boggs of Vernon, and Patricia Pohle of Polson, Montana; sons, Daniel (Debbie) Pohle of Butlerville, and Michael Pohle of Philippines; five grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ollie Bailey; brother, Richard Bailey; sister, Violet Young; two grandsons; one granddaughter.

Memorials can be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice of Jennings County.
