Mervin Eugene Robinson, Jr., 85, of Hayden, Indiana, died on August 1, 2024.

He was born in Ballard, Anderson County, Kentucky on June 1, 1939 to Jo Newton (Stratton) and Mervin Eugene "Robbie" Robinson. Mervin – affectionately called Gene or Junior by his mother – graduated from Anderson County High School in 1957 before attending Kentucky State University. He pursued many ventures throughout his life, including time spent with the Kentucky State Police, in the U.S. Army, traveling to work for the IRS, and operating several businesses. For the last four decades, Mervin proudly made his home in Hayden, Indiana.

Mervin is survived by his son Matthew Robinson, daughter-in-law Emily Robinson, and grandson Elijah.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 9, 2024 at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service in North Vernon, Indiana from 2-4 PM with a funeral service to follow at 4 PM. Pastor Tracy McIntyre will be officiating. Burial will be at Hayden Cemetery.
