Mayme C. Schroeder, 70, of North Vernon passed away at 3:15 PM Friday, August 26, 2011 at her residence.
Born April 27, 1941 in Greensburg, Mayme was the daughter of Boin and Carry Alexander Cain.
She was the manager of the Muscatatuck Country Club in North Vernon for fifteen years. She retired from Muscatatuck State Developmental Center. She attended Christ Way Christian Church and enjoyed quilting, boating, camping, dancing, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Renee Louise Schroeder of North Vernon, Carolyn K. Schroeder of Seymour, and Brenda Goff of North Vernon; one son, Dennis Lee Schroeder of North Vernon; sisters, Ruby Corya of North Vernon, Ann Meredith of Greensburg, Linda Wright of Columbus, Virginia Meyers of Greensburg, and Teresa Williams of Greensburg; brothers, Bob Cain of Cambridge, OH, Bill Cain of Richmond, David Cain of Greensburg, Don Cain of Georgia, Wayne Cain of St. Paul, Doug Cain of Greensburg, Mike, Paul, and Darrell Cain of Greensburg; grandchildren Robert Sherer, David Burton, Dennis Burton, Derek Foster, Dennis Schroeder, jr., Shawn Kipper, Randy Goff, and July Goff, and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother, Janie Hornsby; children, Robert Dale, and Robin Gayle Schroeder; a sister, Brenda Cain; brothers, McCalin, and Albert Cain.
Funeral Information
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service with the Rev. Dan Denny officiating. Interment will be in Union Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
