Mr. Maxdale Hammons Jr.

July 22, 1953 - January 19, 2011

Maxdale Hammons Jr., 57, of Indianapolis passed away at 6:42 pm Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis.

Born July 22, 1953 in Cincinnati, he was the son of Maxdale Sr. and Lilly Meece Hammons.

Mr. Hammons worked in restaurant management as a regional director for several restaurants throughout his career. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed watching motorsports, Indianapolis Colts football, and the Indianapolis 500.

Maxdale is survived by his mother, Lilly Hammons of Indianapolis; four sons, Dale Crusenberry of VA, Anthony Hammons, and Kristopher (Breanne) Hammons of KY, Maxdale Hammons III of WV; two daughters, Shannah Surber of KY, and Mia Hammons of WV; two grandchildren, Madison Hammons, and Kennedy Surber.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Judy Britt.

Funeral Information

A private funeral service will be conducted at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral Home. Interment will be at Butlerville Cemetery.
