Mr. Maurice E. Gividen

Maurice E. Gividen, 84, of Scipio passed away Sunday, July 4, 2010 at St. Vincent - Jennings Hospital.

Born January 25, 1926 in Jennings County, Maurice was the son of Otis and Mucie Waughtel Gividen.

Mr. Gividen was a life long resident of Jennings County, a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church, and an Army veteran of WW II.

He is survived by his wife, Ada Gividen of Scipio; one son, Leroy Gividen of Naab; a sister, Iris Lewis of Butlerville; a granddaughter, Leanne Peeples of Columbus; and two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Reece Peeples.

He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral Information

A graveside service and military graveside rites will be conducted at Bear Creek Cemetery on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Tom Rust officiating.
