Mary Louise Schonfeld

Mary Louise Schonfeld, 80, of North Vernon passed away Friday, July 11, 2008 at
St. Vincent - Jennings Hospital.

Born July 9, 1928 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Forrest and Gladys Miles VanBlaricum. She married Lloyd H. Brougher. He died in December of 1956. She later married A.D. Schonfeld. He died in 1987.

Mary graduated from North Vernon High School in 1946. She served as the senior class treasurer. She was an insurance agent with Moore - Cardinal Insurance Company in North Vernon for forty years. She was a member of the first United Methodist Church, Professional Business Women's Association, and was an avid Jennings County High School sports fan.

She is survived by two daughters; Susan L. VanBlaricum, and Joyce A. Stearns of North Vernon, two step-daughters; Sharon Plfaumer of Madison, and Millie Dodd of Ohio, two grandsons; Ryan Stearns and Brad Burgmeier, and two great grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and one brother; Billy F. VanBlaricum.

The family requests that those who had birthday cards for Mary's party on Sunday, bring them to the funeral home.

Funeral Information

The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral Home with the Rev. Marvin Sweet officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Monday and from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Tuesday. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery.
