Mary K. Moorman, 95, of North Vernon, passed away at 3:37 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at the Columbus Regional Hospital.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 19, 2024, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Rev. Kendall Wildey will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Born on November 22, 1928, Mary was the loving daughter of Hoyt and Nancy (Fleming) Perry. She was united in marriage to Robert Moorman on July 12, 1953. He preceded her in death on October 14, 2000.

Mary was a homemaker. She was a member of the Scipio Presbyterian Church and a member of the Red Hat Society in North Vernon.

Left to cherish Mary's memory is daughter, Marcia (Jim) Piper of Shelbyville, KY; step granddaughters, Amanda (Greg) Bender, and Wendy Turpin; step great grandchildren, Kylee Turpin, Grace Bender, Dane Turpin, Ava Bender, and Henry Bender; caregiver, Fran (Dexter) Clem; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hoyt and Nancy Perry; husband, Robert Moorman; brother, Hoyt Perry Jr.

Memorials can be made through the funeral home to the Scipio Presbyterian Church.
