Mrs. Mary Hope Miller

October 16, 1914 - August 12, 2008

Mary Hope Miller, 93, of North Vernon, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2008, at her home.

Born October 16, 1914 in Niles, OH, she was the daughter of Frank and Anna Sadler Doran. She married Donald B. Miller on June 9, 1939, he preceded her in death on March 22, 1998.

Mrs. Miller attended Indiana Business College for one year. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Right to Life. Mrs. Miller enjoyed sewing, baking and crocheting. Her entire life revolved around her family.

Mrs. Miller is survived by eleven children; Ann Brooks, Patricia Miller, Don Miller, Bernard Miller, Mary Jane Miller, Paul Miller and David Miller all of North Vernon, Frank Miller of Louisville, KY, John Miller of Bloomington, IN, Teresa Brown of Columbus, IN, and Steve Miller of Madison, IN, two brothers, Joe Doran of North Vernon and Ed Doran of AZ, twenty-eight grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Donald B. Miller, two sisters, Ann Johnson and Viola Stearns, a brother, Sonny Doran, and one grandchild.

Funeral Information

A funeral mass will be 10 AM, Saturday, August 16, 2008 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Stephen Donahue officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 11:30 AM to 3 PM following mass at the St. Mary's Parish Center. Everyone is welcome to come and celebrate the life of Mary Hope. Food and beverages will be provided.
