Mrs. Mary A. Ley

November 13, 1927 - June 19, 2015

Mary A. Ley, 87, of North Vernon passed away at 1:00 AM Friday, June 19, 2015, at Four Seasons Retirement Center.

Born November 13, 1927, Mary was the daughter of Hubert and Theresa Holdrith Ebbing. She married Robert G. Ley September 13, 1947, at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

She worked for Regal Rugs and retired from Cummins Inc. in 1992. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Mary is survived by her husband, Robert G. Ley of Columbus, formerly of North Vernon, one daughter, Susan (Bill) Tally of New Bern, NC,; brothers, Raymond Ebbing of GA, Leo Ebbing of OH, Vincent Ebbing of OH, and Paul Ebbing of AZ; sisters, Ann Hopkins of FL, Rita Farren of North Vernon, and Virginia Halcomb of North Vernon; grandson, Michael (Jenny) Ley, great-grandchildren, Nolan, Hudson, & Emerson Ley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Steven, Michael, Robert, and Alan Ley; brothers, David and Victor Ebbing, and Eugene McPherson; grandson, Greg Ley.

Funeral Information

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 AM Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Rev. Jerry Byrd will officiate. Inurnment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
