Mary Ruth Beasley, 72, of North Vernon, passed away at 5:50 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at her residence.

No services are being planned.  Arrangements were entrusted to Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service.

Born May 19, 1945, in Tarpon Springs, Fl, Mary Ruth was the daughter of John Peter and Ruby Estelle King Marinis.  She married Alvoid John Broussard in 1963 and he preceded her in death in 1969.  She later married Robert Lloyd Beasley in 1985 and he preceded her in death in 1997.

She graduated from River Forest High School in North Chicago.  Mary Ruth loved animals, collecting angels and Elvis Presley memorabilia.  She enjoyed gardening, chatting with people and especially loved her boys.

Mary Ruth is survived by a son, Gaston Broussard of North Vernon; a brother, Billy Kervin of Crestview, FL; and two grandchildren, Ruby Broussard of Sao Palo, Brazil and Brittany Broussard of North Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first and second husband; two sons, Allen and Patrick Broussard; and a sister, Naomi Ruark.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Mercy Rescue.
