It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marvin Eddie Louden, 66, of North Vernon, who departed this life on February 10, 2026. Born on October 21, 1959, in El Paso, Texas, Marvin lived a life marked by devotion to family, service to his country, and a passion for the outdoors.
Eddie served honorably in the United States Army from 1978 to 1982. Recently he had been working as a role player on military bases during training exercises.
He found joy in a multitude of activities, including working with firearms, riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, and playing golf. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his beloved grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.
Eddie is survived by his life companion, Cheryl Robinson; daughters, Tanja Louden,Shannon Bear, and Amber Carter; daughter-in-law Amanda Bear; sisters Diana Tunney and Melissa Louden; his grandsons, Jannic Louden, Nicklas Jordan, Jacob Wright, Bailey Wright, Cole Bertram, and Axl Johnson; five great-grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held in honor of Eddie on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 1:30 PM, at the Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Military Rites will be conducted at the Indiana Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Madison immediately following. The family invites all who knew and loved Eddie to join them in honoring his memory. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for expenses.
Eddie will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his service to his country, and his zest for life. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Helen Thevenow Louden.
