Mrs. Martha M. Ryan

January 19, 1944 - January 11, 2014

Martha M. Ryan, 69, of North Vernon, passed away at 10:15 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.

Born January 19, 1944, in Jennings County, Martha was the daughter of the late Charles and Jessie Hartwell Locke. She married Wilbur Ryan in March 1964. He preceded her in death on April 4, 2013.

Martha had previously been employed as an attendant at Muscatatuck State Developmental Center. She enjoyed camping and she loved her dogs.

Survivors include a brother, Charles Locke of North Vernon, and two sisters, Margie Locke of Edinburgh and Mary Ann Shepherd of Edinburgh.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Wilbur.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday. Burial will be at Olean Cemetery in Ripley County.
