Miss Martha Lee Green

January 16, 1926 - May 12, 2012

Martha Lee Green, 86, of Columbus, and formerly of North Vernon, passed away at 1:55 PM on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Keepsake Village in Columbus.

Born January 16, 1926 in Jennings County, Martha was the daughter of the late Howard and Grace Scott Green. She had been employed until retirement with the former Regal Rugs of North Vernon as a bookkeeper.

Miss Green had been a member of the First Baptist Church and was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed painting and her pets.

Martha was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Roger Green.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 18, 2012 at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service in North Vernon with Rev. Richard Burcham officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be at Vernon Cemetery.
