Mark Ivan Ramey, 66, of North Vernon, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024, in his home.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the Queensville Community Church. Rev. David Neal will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the start of the service at the church. Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service are entrusted with the arrangements.

Born on October 16, 1957, Mark was the loving son of Reverend William A. and Lee Esther (Bruner) Ramey.

Mark graduated from Jennings County High School. He was a jack of all trades and had previously working for the North Vernon Plain Dealer before his retirement. Mark was a member of the Queensville Community Church. He enjoyed drawing, listening to music, watching TV way too loud, eating everything in the dang house, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mark was a gentle soul and never knew anyone that wasn't a friend.

Left to cherish his memory is his brother, Wade (Neri) Ramey of California; daughters, Sarah Ramey of North Vernon, Ashlee (Carl) Ollmann of Columbus, Elsie (Nathan) Roush of Nevada, and Megan Ramey of North Vernon; twelve grandchildren; two great grandchildren (his little stinker doodles.)

He was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend William A. and Lee Esther Ramey; sister, Joy Ramey; brother, Wesley Ramey.

Mark will be greatly missed, his kindness and humor will never be forgotten.
