Mark Tolson Jarman

Mark Tolson Jarman, 56, of North Vernon, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 9:59 AM at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital.

Born November 6, 1952 in Greensboro, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Rev. Dr. Robert E. Jarman and June Hatcher Jarman.

Mr. Jarman graduated from New Castle High School in New Castle. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Texas Christian University.

He worked for many years as a Recreational Therapist at Muscatatuck Development Center and later at Madison State Hospital where he recently retired from.

Mark enjoyed golf, bowling and participating in the Jennings County Players.

He is survived by his brother, Rev. David Jarman (Ginger) of North Las Vegas, Nevada, nieces, Elizabeth Jarman of North Las Vegas, Nevada, Jennifer Jarman McCallum, of Hurst, Texas and a great niece and a great nephew.

Funeral Information

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home. Visitaion will be at 9:00-11:0 a.m. prior to the service. Arrangements are in care of Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, 101 South Rancho Drive, Las Vegas, Nevada 89106. This is for the establishment of the Miracle League Baseball Field to allow special needs children to enjoy America's favorite pastime.
