Mark David Fletcher, 63, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Community South Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born January 1, 1954, in Seymour, Indiana to Billy Joe and Patricia Fletcher.  Mark joined the Marines after graduating from Warren Central.

He was a daredevil who enjoyed racing dirt bikes, riding motorcycles, parachuting, and competing in karate in his youth.  Mark was also a hard worker; he was a diesel mechanic for over 20 years before he started his own business, Fletcher Landscaping, over 30 years ago.  Most importantly, Mark truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, enjoying the outdoors, and traveling with his family.  Mark had an uncanny ability to solve problems and to reach people in a deep and positive way.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Luann Fletcher; daughter, Shea Rafferty; stepson, Randy Rinehart; granddaughters, Aidra Rafferty and Kate Rinehart; mother, Patricia Fletcher; sister, Patty Fletcher; brothers, Billy, Jim, Matt, and Scott Fletcher; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Joe Fletcher Sr.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Mark touched are invited to join us at Foxcliff North Manor House at 4041 N. Foxcliff Dr. E.  in Martinsville from 3 to 6 pm on Sunday, April 9, 2017, to reminisce and celebrate the life of Mark David Fletcher.
