Mr. Mark Dent

Mark Dent, 51, of North Vernon, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus.

Born November 6, 1961, in Indianapolis, Mark was the son of Robert and Mary Watson Dent.

Mr. Dent had previously worked for Kroot Corporation and was currently employed by Martinrea International Inc. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, NASCAR and his family.

He is survived by his mother Mary Dent of North Vernon; his son Dylan Dent of North Vernon; a sister Nancy Grogg of Seymour; four brothers, Mike Dent of West Monroe, LA, Richard Dent of Houston, TX, David Dent of Butlerville and Brad Dent of North Vernon; a grandson, Gaige Dent; two nephews, Michael Smith and Andrew Scurlock; two nieces, Melissa Scurlock and Kathy Dent; and his former wife Charlesa Dent of North Vernon.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at 1:00 PM at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service in North Vernon. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, and on Tuesday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery.
