Mrs. Marjorie A. Ford

June 15, 1924 - January 20, 2016

Marjorie Ann Ford, 91, of North Vernon, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at Aspen Place Health Campus in Greensburg.

Born June 15, 1924, in North Vernon, Marjorie was the daughter of the late Jack and Florence (Pierce) Bower. She graduated from New Washington High School in 1942. She married Emmett Ford, and he preceded her in death.

Marjorie retired in 1991 from Thompson Dairy, where she worked in the office. She was a member of First Christian Church and Eastern Star. She enjoyed crocheting, movies and reading.

Survivors include a sister, Phyllis Craig of North Vernon; grandson, Jody (Melinda) Ford of Tampa, Florida; and two great-grandsons, Thomas and Samuel Ford.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; a son, William Edward Ford; sister, Kathleen Gee; and brother, Alva Bower.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service in North Vernon. Rev. Ron Bridgewater will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery.
