Miss Marjorie "Mert" Ellen Wickens

Marjorie "Mert" Ellen Wickens, 85, of North Vernon, passed away at 10:28 PM on March 21, 2012 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Born June 22, 1926, Marjorie was the daughter of the late James P. and Sarah M. McCann Wickens.
Miss. Wickens retired from Arvins Industries. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church along with the Legion of Mary.
She is survived by two brothers, John Wickens of Columbus, Hugh Wickens of Belleville; four sisters, Kate Daeger of North Vernon, Virginia Wickens of North Vernon, Theresa Bruns of Millhousen, and Mable Byers of Bedford.
Miss Wickens was preceded in death by her parents, James and Sarah; three brothers, James, Phillip, and Daniel Wickens; and one sister, Mary Louise Wickens.

Funeral Information

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in North Vernon at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 26, 2012 with Fr. Jonathan Meyer officiating. A Rosary Service will be held at 3:30 PM on Sunday at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service followed by visitation from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.
