Marilyn R. Badgett, 89, of North Vernon passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Rev. Jerry Byrd will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. A Rosary service will be conducted on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at 3:30 P.M. at Sawyer – Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Visitation will follow from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

Born March 3, 1931, in Buechel, KY, Marilyn was the daughter of Charles and Marie Keely Silliman. She married Louis J. "Red" Badgett on February 10, 1951.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She and her husband owned and operated the White Front Café from 1982-1994. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

Marilyn is survived by her son, Paul Badgett of North Vernon; daughters, Mary Jo and Patricia J. Badgett of North Vernon; grandchildren, Ilese Sabelhaus and Tony Brock of North Vernon; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Carissa Jo, and Emily Faith Sabelhaus of North Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, John, Robert, Charles Jr., and Paul Silliman; sisters, Marie Carrico, Patricia Deddens, and Jean Bodenbender.
