Marie Celeste Kreutzjans, 80, of North Vernon passed away on July 2, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born in Dayton, Ohio, to Silverius and Barbara (Miller) Stammen. A beloved wife, mother, and friend, Marie dedicated her life to nurturing her family and her community.

Marie found joy in reading, traveling, watching documentaries and spending quality time with her family and friends. Active in her faith, Marie was a devoted member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, where she contributed her time and effort volunteering with St. Vincent de Paul, embodying the spirit of service and compassion.

She is survived by her children, Monica (Jerry) Nordenbrock Phillips, Julie (Steve) Nordenbrock Peters, Matthew (Jessica) Nordenbrock, Nathaniel (April) Nordenbrock, and Margaret (Alex) Kreutzjans Miller; grandchildren, Sarah Phillips, Benjamin Phillips, Johnathan Peters, Elizabeth Peters, Jacob Peters, Allison (Bo) Nordenbrock Brown, Bailey Nordenbrock and Eliza Nordenbrock; sister, Pat Peters.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Aloysius Kreutzjans, husband, John B. Nordenbrock; daughter, Theresa Nordenbrock, and brother, Charles Stammen.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Deacon Larry French will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date in Fort Recovery, Ohio.

Memorials may be made in Marie's memory to St. Vincent de Paul of North Vernon through the funeral home.
