Mrs. Margaret Louise Williams

August 17, 1920 - January 25, 2010

Margaret L.(Beck) Williams, 89 of North Vernon passed away on January 25, 2010 at 10:18 am at Jennings Healthcare Center in North Vernon.

Margaret was born August 17, 1920 in Livingston County, Illinois. She was the daughter of the late Jacob and Margaret (Ponsler) Beck. She married Roy Williams on March 10, 1942 and he preceded her in death on November 8, 1978. They had one son, John Williams, who preceded her in death on March 23, 1976.

She worked as an aide in several nursing homes in the Blocher area and retired from the North Vernon Nursing Home. She was a member of the First Christian Church in North Vernon.

She is survived by two grandsons; Jacob Williams of Alexandria, Virginia and Paul Williams of Paoli; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Wanda Tempest of North Vernon.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, eight brothers, Walter, Sam, Lester, Andrew, Albert, Marion, Ray, and Robert Beck, and one sister, Helen Ash.

Funeral Information

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm at Vernon Cemetery on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 with Rev. Richard Burcham officiating.
