Margaret A. Turner, 78, of North Vernon, passed away at 9:26 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at her daughter's home in St. Paul, IN.

Born October 25, 1937, in Minot, North Dakota, Margaret was the only child of the late Frank and Evelyn Johnson. She was married to Carl Turner on January 28, 1961, and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Turner retired from Muscatatuck State Developmental Center, where she worked as a registered nurse. She loved to read and spend time with her children, grandchildren and friends.

Survivors include two sons, Brian (Candy) Turner of Columbus and Patrick (Lori) Turner of Jonesville; daughter, Carla (Troy) Acton of St. Paul; eight grandchildren, Victoria (Martin) Walker, Kraig Martin, Alexondra and Ryan Acton, Jason Mace, Amanda (Abbett) Resch, Brittany and William Landrem; and three great grandchildren, Elin and Colter Walker and Taylor Hartwell.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
