Mrs. Margaret Hillen

Margaret Hillen, 87, of North Vernon passed away Monday, July 15, 2013 at her residence.

Born May 18, 1926 in North Vernon, Margaret was the daughter of Harrison L. and Hester I. Beaty Kuntz. She married Leo R. Hillen February 26, 1949. He survives.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She retired from Regal Rugs, and enjoyed painting, poetry, sewing, crocheting, quilting, & cooking.

Margaret is survived by her husband Leo Hillen of North Vernon; children, Dana C. (Mary) Hillen of Crossville, AL, Tami (Tim) Brown of North Vernon, Anthony (Linda) Hillen of Columbus, Mary (James) Vincent of Columbus, Frances (Robbie) Leonard of North Vernon, Ann (John) Compton of Franklin, Margaret (Dan) Fouts of Columbus, John (Kathy) Hillen of North Vernon, and Charles F. Hillen of Los Angeles, CA; one sister, Frances Martin of Elwood, IN; one nephew, Dale Seal; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Oscar, Don, and Arthur Seal, and Dave Wheeldon.

Funeral Information

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Jonathan Meyer officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. A Rosary Service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Interment will be in Vernon Cemetery.
