Mrs. Margaret Catherine Fox

September 27, 1916 - October 26, 2008

Margaret Catherine Fox, 92, of North Vernon, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2008, at Jennings Health Care Center.

Born September 27, 1916 in North Vernon, she was the daughter of Clem and Mary Doran Miller, they preceded her in death. She married Philip Stephen Fox on June 27, 1951 at St. Mary's Church, he preceded her in death in 1978.

Mrs. Fox was a 1934 graduate of the North Vernon High School. She was a homemaker but had previously been employed at the Miller Lumber Company, Matthews Drug Store and Regal Rugs. Mrs. Fox was a member of St. Mary's Church, and a former member of Daughters of Isabella, the North Vernon Senior Center, the St. Vincent Jennings Hospital Guild, and several card clubs.

Mrs. Fox is survived by two daughters, Barbara Ann Fox of North Vernon and Mary (Norman W.) Phillips of Seymour, and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Fox was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Philip S. Fox, a son, Philip Edward Fox and a brother, Edward "Eddie" Miller.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be 10 AM, Thursday, October 30, 2008 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Stephen Donahue officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4 to 8 pm, with a Rosary at 8 PM at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral Home.
