Margaret L. Carson, 64, of Elizabethtown, passed away on December 26, 2021, at home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Rev. Jerry Byrd will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service.
Born on July 9, 1957, in Seymour, Margaret was the loving daughter of Clarence and Helen (Matern) Kirchner. She was united in marriage to Charles Carson in May 19, 1979. He survives.
Margaret had worked as a Purchasing Agent in Material Management at St. Vincent Jennings County Hospital for thirty-five years. She enjoyed doing puzzles and diamond art. Most of all she cherished spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Charles Carson of Elizabethtown, survivors include daughters, Michelle (Justin) Colglazier of Elizabethtown, Dianna (Tyler) Davitto of Danville, and Karla (Chris) Gholson of Elizabethtown; grandchildren, Ethan, Jaidalyn, Elena, Carson, Sophia, Gabriella, and Jaxon; brothers, Robert, John, Joseph, Mike, Stephen, Andy, Pat Kirchner all of North Vernon, and Paul Kirchner of Seymour; sisters, Mary Such of California, Jane Kirchner of North Vernon, Dorothy Palmer of Martinsville, Cathy Capes of North Vernon, Joanne Skelly of Indianapolis, Donna Green, Ruth Norris of North Vernon, and Jeanette Firsich of North Vernon.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Helen Kirchner; brother, Mark Kirchner.
Memorials can be made through the funeral home to the St. Mary's School.
