Malisa Gail Wilson, 49, of North Vernon, passed away at 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at home.

A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the Moose Lodge #418 in Seymour. Cremation was chosen. Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service are in charge of the arrangements.

Born on September 18, 1975, in Madison, IN., Malisa was the loving daughter of Donnie and Peggy (Riley) Wilson. They survive.

Malisa was a hair stylist for thirty years and had been the district manager and training coordinator for Great Clips for fourteen years. Malisa had also worked for Fast Pace Urgent Care for over five years and opened four stores for them. She was a member of the Moose Lodge #418 in Seymour. She loved big and always had a smile on her face. Most of all, Malisa was a proud mother and Nana.

In addition to her parents, Donnie and Peggy Wilson of North Vernon, survivors include son, Zachary Higdon of New Albany; daughter, Paige Higdon (Tristan) of Pekin, IN; brothers, Chris (Amy) Wilson of Seymour, and Adam (Jey) Fleenor of California; sisters, Leslie (Trae) Peacock of North Vernon, Heather Bowman of North Vernon, and Schanna Theetge of North Vernon; nieces and nephews, Rylee Peacock, Emmy Peacock, Brayden (Logan Berrisford) Wilson, Brandon (Sam Korfhage) Wilson, Ryan Wilson, Chasity Perry, Kelsey Wilson, and Miranda (Eric) Post.

Malisa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Harlean Wilson, and Jackie and Lester Riley.
