Lucille "Lucy" Ent, 93, of Butlerville, passed away at 11:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018, at Premier Health Care in North Vernon.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Pastor Marvin Wright will officiate. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery.
Born August 17, 1924, Lucy was the daughter of the late William Homer and Lula Belle (Mullins) Durham. She married David Johnson on August 31, 1945 who preceded her in death. She later married Eilden Humphery who preceded her in death in 1972. Lucy was also preceded in death by her third husband, Paul Ent, in 1994.
Lucy attended Otter Creek Baptist Church and was a member of Osgood Christian Church. She enjoyed watercolor painting and traveling. Quilting was also a fond hobby. Lucy had worked at Cummins Engine during World War II, the shirt factory in Seymour, Regal Rugs in North Vernon, and Manufactured Home Sales in Osgood.
She is survived by a son, Richard Johnson of Butlerville; a daughter, Brenda (Lee) Wainscott of Butlerville; a brother, David Durham of Greenwood, MS; two stepsons, Randy (Patty) Ent of Seymour and Bob (Veronica) Ent of Kentucky; a stepdaughter, Kay Ent of Madison; daughter-in-law, Nancy Johnson of Butlerville; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by first husband, David Johnson; her second husband, Eilden Humphery; her third husband, Paul Ent; a son, Wayne Johnson; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Carol Johnson; four sisters and three brothers.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice of Jennings County.
