Lowell West, 72, formerly of North Vernon passed away at 3:35 a.m. on Monday, December 9, 2019, at Aspen Place Health Campus of Greensburg where her resided.

A private graveside service will be held. Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service are in charge of the arrangements.

Born February 7, 1947, in Shelbyville, Kentucky, Lowell was the son of Victor and Frances West.

Lowell was employed at Developmental Services, Inc. (DSI), also in Greensburg. He enjoyed many things: fishing, Jennings County High School boys basketball, word search books, playing cards & computer games. He enjoyed bluegrass & gospel music, but most of all, he loved his job & enjoyed eating good food. Lowell never met a stranger and was always the first to offer a hug. He was tender hearted and offered unconditional love.

Lowell is survived by sisters, Theresa (Leonard) Cook of Muncie, IN and Linda (Donald) Williams of North Vernon, IN; nephews; nieces; great nephews; great nieces.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Frances West; brother, James West.

Memorials can be made through the funeral home to DSI Greensburg.
