Mrs. Loretta G. Ward

January 20, 1955 - May 22, 2014

Loretta G. Ward, 59, of Butlerville, passed away at 11:10 AM Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Jennings Health Care Center.

Born January 20, 1955, Loretta was the daughter of Donald and Bernice Olmstead Wood. She married Charles "Pat" Ward.

She worked as a house manager for Rescare. She enjoyed camping, flowers, gardening, and most of all, taking care of people.

Mrs. Ward is survived by her parents, Donald and Bernice Wood of Columbus; husband, Charles "Pat" Ward of Butlerville; Sons, Jamie (Beth) Law of Hope, Jim (Missy) Ward of NM and Joe (April) Ward of North Vernon; daughters, Tara Leonard of Butlerville, and Stephanie (Daniel) Baker of Columbus; brothers, Donnie Wood of Elizabethtown, Jeff Wood of Westport, Matt Wood of Edinburg, Mike Wood of Columbus, Troy Wood of Ninevah, and Tracy Wood of Columbus; Sisters, Joyce Crank of Hope, and Sandy Gassaway of Columbus; thirteen grandchildren.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday May 27, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. The Rev. Gerald Hancock will officiate. Interment will be in Butlerville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
